Nepal’s Economy Projected to Grow by 4.4% in Current Fiscal Year: ADB

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has projected that Nepal’s economy will grow by 4.4% in the current fiscal year.
Last fiscal year, Nepal recorded an economic growth rate of 3.9%. With signs of gradual recovery in the economy, the ADB has expressed optimism about continued improvement in Nepal’s economic landscape.
According to the ADB, the growth was supported by increased hydropower production, a rise in wheat output, and positive momentum in the services sector.
Additionally, the ADB projects a slight decline in inflation compared to last year. While inflation stood at 5.4% in the previous fiscal year, it is expected to ease to 5.2% in 2025.
