Nepal Through to Final of Hong Kong T20 Series After Rain Abandons Group Match

Nepal has secured a place in the final of the ongoing four-nation T20 series in Hong Kong after the last group stage match was called off due to rain.

In the match held at Mission Road Ground, hosts Hong Kong won the toss and opted to bat first. However, after just nine overs of bowling, persistent rain halted play. As the weather did not improve, both teams were awarded one point each.

With this result, Nepal topped the table with 5 points, followed by Kuwait with 4 points, pushing both teams into the final.

Nepal will now face Kuwait in the final match scheduled for Sunday at 11:15 AM local time. Notably, Nepal had earlier defeated Kuwait by six wickets in the group stage.

Before the final, the third-place playoff will be held on Sunday morning at 6:45 AM.
