Raghuji Pant Appointed as Nepal’s New Education Minister
President Paudel Endorses PM's Recommendation; Swearing-in Scheduled for Thursday

Kathmandu: Raghuji Pant has been appointed as the new Minister of Education, Science, and Technology. His appointment was made by President Ram Chandra Paudel based on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, according to sources at Sheetal Niwas.
Pant, a proportional representation lawmaker from the CPN-UML, is expected to be sworn in on Thursday. However, the exact time of the oath-taking ceremony has not been finalized yet.
Replaces Bidya Bhattarai, Who Resigned Citing PM’s Non-Cooperation
Pant replaces Bidya Bhattarai, who resigned from the post on April 20 (Baisakh 8). While her official resignation letter cited health reasons, she later stated that she stepped down due to a lack of cooperation from the Prime Minister and difficulties in executing her duties.
