Prime Minister Oli to Address Parliament on Opening Day of Budget Session

Speech to cover current political affairs as Monsoon Session begins Friday

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the Federal Parliament during the opening meeting of the Budget (Monsoon) Session on Friday, according to Mahesh Bartuala, Chief Whip of the CPN-UML.

Address Set for Opening Moments of Session

Bartuala confirmed that PM Oli will speak at the very start of tomorrow’s meeting, setting the tone for the session.

“The Prime Minister will address the House at the beginning of tomorrow’s meeting and present his views on recent political developments,” said Bartuala.

Budget Session Kicks Off

The Monsoon Session, also referred to as the Budget Session, begins tomorrow with key events lined up in the coming weeks including:

  • President’s Policy and Programme Address on Baisakh 19 (April 30)
  • Pre-budget discussions from Baisakh 28 (May 10)
  • Budget Presentation on Jestha 15 (May 28)

The session is expected to also table key legislative agendas, including the Federal Civil Service Act and School Education Bill.
