PM Oli’s Scheduled Address to Parliament Postponed
Absence of key political leaders leads to change in plan on first day of budget session

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s scheduled address to the federal parliament on the first day of the budget session has been postponed, as confirmed by Mahesh Bartaula, Chief Whip of the CPN-UML.
The address was set to take place during the meeting at 1 PM today, but was called off after it was confirmed that Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and main opposition leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ would not be present in the House.
Deuba is currently in Thailand, while Prachanda has traveled to Gorkha, leading to the decision to delay the PM’s address.
As a result, second-tier leaders from major parties are expected to speak during the initial meeting of the session.
