Alexa Life Sciences to Begin Saline Production Under ‘Alexa’ Brand from July

Morang: A new saline water production factory has been established in Budhiganga, Morang, marking a significant development in Nepal’s medical manufacturing sector.

Businessmen Dinesh Thakur and Ranjit Bhagat, both involved in the medical field, have launched Alexa Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. to produce and distribute saline water under the ‘Alexa’ brand.

According to Thakur, who also chairs the company, production will begin in Shrawan (July 2025). In its first phase, the company will focus on Large Volume Parenterals (LVP), producing saline water in four bottle sizes: 100 ml, 500 ml, 1,000 ml, and 3,000 ml.

Monthly Production Capacity of 900,000 Bottles

Once fully operational, the factory is expected to manufacture 900,000 bottles per month. The total investment is estimated at NPR 1 billion.

The company claims that the facility has been built in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) and other international standards, featuring a state-of-the-art production plant to ensure high-quality output.

In its second phase, Alexa Life Sciences plans to introduce Small Volume Parenterals (SVP) in limited quantities, further expanding its product range.

The company also aims to export its saline products internationally, under the same brand, as part of its long-term vision.
