PM Oli Urges UML Lawmakers to Confidently Support Government Policies

At a parliamentary party meeting, PM Oli encouraged his lawmakers to strongly defend the government’s policy and program, despite opposition criticism.

Kathmandu: CPN-UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged his party’s lawmakers to confidently support the government’s policies and programs. He gave this direction during a party parliamentary meeting held on Saturday in Baluwatar.

Oli explained that the opposition tends to oppose every government policy, whether true or false. He stated that the opposition criticizes policies regardless of their merit.

He further stated, “It’s common for the opposition to demand that even incorrect statements be removed from the record. However, I believe that such statements should stay on the record. This way, future generations will know what was said.”

The Prime Minister also urged lawmakers to study the policy thoroughly and present their views clearly in Parliament. He noted that CPN-UML is the largest party not just by numbers, but also by vision and ideas.

Oli encouraged lawmakers to bring written points to Parliament to ensure they cover all issues. He said, “Having a written agenda makes it easier to express ideas and ensures that nothing is missed.”

Lastly, he emphasized the importance of being ready to quickly respond to any incorrect statements made during parliamentary debates.
