MS Dhoni Speaks on Possibility of Playing in IPL 2026
Dhoni, 43, says his body will determine if he can return for the next season, following CSK’s match against KKR.
Kolkata: Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has addressed the ongoing speculation about his participation in IPL 2026, following Chennai Super Kings’ recent match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Speaking after the match, Dhoni said: “I always receive love here. Fans come to watch thinking it’s my last season. I’m 43 and have been playing for a long time. They don’t know when my final year will be. The truth is, I only play for two months a year.”
Dhoni made it clear that he hasn’t made a final call yet.
“I will have 6 to 8 months after this season to see how my body copes. Then I’ll decide if I’m ready for the next season. Right now, it’s not possible to say anything,” he added. “But the love and support from fans everywhere has been amazing.”
