Kathmandu – The Federal Parliament Budget Session will officially begin on Friday, with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli scheduled to address lawmakers during the opening meeting, according to Mahesh Bartuala, Chief Whip of the CPN-UML. This session is a critical period for reviewing government policies and legislative priorities.

Bartuala confirmed that PM Oli will speak at the very start of the Federal Parliament Budget Session, presenting his views on recent political developments and government priorities.

“The Prime Minister will address the House at the beginning of the session and outline his perspectives on national issues,” said Bartuala.

The Monsoon Session will cover major parliamentary activities, including:

  • President’s Policy and Programme Address on Baisakh 19 (April 30)

  • Pre-budget Discussions starting Baisakh 28 (May 10)

  • Budget Presentation on Jestha 15 (May 28)

Lawmakers will also debate key legislative agendas, such as the Federal Civil Service Act and School Education Bill, alongside discussions on economic reforms, public services, and social development.
