Government to Initiate Constitution Amendment Process in FY 2082/83

Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has included constitutional amendment as a key agenda item in its policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.

President Ram Chandra Paudel, while presenting the government’s agenda in a joint session of the Federal Parliament, confirmed this move. “The process of amending the Constitution will move forward with consensus from all political parties,” President Paudel stated during the policy address.

He added that as the Constitution has now completed 10 years since its promulgation, it is time to initiate discussions for a comprehensive review.
