Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has announced that it will implement the recommendations of the High-Level Economic Reform Suggestions Commission in the fiscal year 2082/83.
President Ram Chandra Paudel spoke at a joint session of the Federal Parliament, saying the commission’s report, chaired by former Finance Secretary Rameshore Khanal, will help revitalize Nepal’s economy. The report includes strategies to improve fiscal management, strengthen public-private partnerships (PPP), and create sustainable employment opportunities nationwide.
“The government will actively promote collaboration among the public, cooperative, and private sectors to create jobs and reduce poverty,” President Paudel said. He also stressed that public-private partnerships are key to achieving broader and sustainable economic growth.
The President highlighted the need to coordinate fiscal and monetary policies to maintain long-term economic stability. Experts say aligning these policies is essential to boost investor confidence and stabilize Nepal’s financial market.
The government’s decision comes as Nepal seeks to recover from the economic impact of global challenges. Implementing the report’s recommendations will encourage investment, improve infrastructure, and strengthen sectors such as banking, agriculture, and energy.
