According to the hospital’s Medical Superintendent Dr. Krishna Prasad Paudel, the ban applies not only to the hospital’s pharmacy but also to all snack stalls operating within the premises. “We have started using paper bags for medicine distribution and food packaging,” he stated.

The hospital has also requested visitors to bring paper or cloth bags when coming to see patients. Furthermore, Dr. Paudel mentioned that plastic materials will no longer be used during any hospital events. The decision was made considering the harmful impact plastic has on the environment.
