Two Injured in Shooting Incident at Sunsari’s Dewangunj Bazaar

Sunsari: Two individuals sustained injuries after an unidentified assailant opened fire at a local market in Dewangunj Rural Municipality-7, Sunsari, on Monday night, according to Police Inspector Dinesh Adhikari.

The injured have been identified as Shivkumar Meheta and Ravindra Yadav, both locals of the area. They suffered gunshot wounds to the thigh and back, and have been transported to Biratnagar Hospital for medical treatment.

Police reported that three rounds were fired, although only one bullet casing has been recovered from the scene so far. A police team is currently deployed at the site, and multiple investigation units have been mobilized to track down the suspect.

Inspector Adhikari confirmed that the identity of the shooter has been established, and efforts to apprehend the individual are underway.
