EC Urges Citizens to Participate in Voter List Update Campaign

Kathmandu: The Election Commission (EC) of Nepal has called on all stakeholders and eligible voters to actively engage in its voter list update program, which is currently underway as per the Voter List Update Procedure, 2081.
According to EC Spokesperson Neeta Pokharel Aryal, the process began on April 13 (Baisakh 1) and includes all Nepali citizens who turned 18 by the end of Chaitra (April 12). A preliminary voter list is now available at www.election.gov.np, and the final list will be published by the end of Baisakh (May 13).
Key Provisions for Citizens:

Correction requests or objections to the preliminary list can be submitted until Baisakh 14 (April 26).

Duplicate registrations, names of deceased individuals, or those who have renounced Nepali citizenship can also be removed upon request.

Citizens may submit applications online or through the nearest election office.

New registrations and updates will continue even during the objection window.
The EC has urged all eligible citizens to review their details and take timely action to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll.
