PM Oli Criticizes Internal Dissent, Warns Against Aiding Opponents
Pm Oli Says even party members are unknowingly echoing adversaries' narratives

Kathmandu: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has expressed serious concern over statements from within his own party that, according to him, unintentionally support opposition forces.
Speaking at an event marking the 76th anniversary of the party’s founding, PM Oli remarked that some party members’ comments are contributing to confusion and helping the opposition’s agenda.
“Our opponents are well-organized in their efforts to isolate and attack us. But it is unfortunate that some of our own comrades, knowingly or unknowingly, make remarks that support this narrative,” Oli said.
‘You Don’t Have to Be Wrong to Be Blamed’
The Prime Minister went on to argue that in the current political climate, one does not need to make a mistake to be targeted.
“You don’t need to commit an error to be blamed. Those who engage in wrongdoing, those who try to harm the nation or society—these very people often lead the charge against those doing good work,” he said, noting that many different types of actors are involved in this trend.
PM Oli also stated that various foreign powers are backing efforts to undermine the CPN-UML, hinting at external influences in domestic political affairs.
