On Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement expressing deep concern over the situation. This follows the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India, which claimed the life of a Nepali citizen.
“Nepal and India grieved together during this tragedy,” the ministry said. “We condemned the barbaric attack immediately and firmly stand against all forms of terrorism.”
The government also pledged to prevent the use of Nepali territory for any hostile actions. While Nepal did not directly mention India’s reported missile strike on Pakistan, the statement was released almost two days later, signaling Nepal’s call for restraint and regional stability.

Nepal has also been coordinating with its embassies in India and Pakistan to monitor the safety of Nepalis living in the affected regions (Nepal Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
