Pro-Monarchy Protest to Begin Nationwide on Jestha 15

Joint People's Movement Coordinator Nabaraj Subedi says peaceful protests will begin on Jestha 15 to restore monarchy and declare Nepal a Hindu nation.

Kathmandu: The Joint People’s Movement Committee will launch a nationwide protest from Jestha 15, 2082, demanding Nepal’s return to monarchy and Hindu statehood.

At a press conference on Thursday, Coordinator Nabaraj Subedi announced the campaign. He said the movement will continue until their goals are achieved. “This won’t stop until Nepal becomes a Hindu nation and the monarchy returns,” Subedi said.

RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, RPP-Nepal leader Kamal Thapa, and former Panchayat-era figure Keshar Bahadur Bista joined the announcement.

Subedi said they will reveal more protest programs in the coming weeks. “We aim to protect Nepal’s identity with peace and stability,” he added. “This is a nationalist campaign by the Nepali people, for the Nepali people — without foreign influence.”
